As beautiful as it sounds, the azure coast meanders from the Principality
of Monaco to St. Tropez, dotted with charming coastal towns and chic cities overlooking sparkling waterfronts. One of the world's first modern resort areas, the Côte D'Azur remains true to its reputation as the playground for the rich, famous and fabulous. Terrific beaches, exquisite seafront villas and hotels and the best nightlife and dining have drawn visitors from around the world for decades - what might have been the best beach bar in the 1960s could very well still be, with new night club hot spots or 5-star luxury hotels opening from time to time.
The Côte D'Azur is a yachting mecca, where many of the world's biggest and best private and charter yachts spend their summer holidays. Aboard the 147' Harle, take in the scenery and lifestyle of this fabulous summer destination as you cruise from Nice to St. Tropez and back to Monaco during seven days of luxurious, French Riviera-inspired fun.
SPARKLING WATERS, STUNNING ARCHITECTURE, CULTURE AND MUSEUMS
Excitement is in the air today as you're welcomed by the crew of the 147' Feadship Harle in the Port of Nice. Settle in to one of the beautiful main-deck staterooms and join your party on the bridge deck for a welcome cocktail as you take in the view. Today you can head into Nice to explore Old Town and peruse the bustling flower market or climb up to visit the Matisse Museum with its lovely olive gardens before returning to Harle and setting out on your Riviera charter.
As you get underway for the resort town of Antibes, take in the picturesque coastline with its waterfront promenades and hidden coves. Situated between Nice and Cannes, Antibes offers visitors a long and rich history that is reflected in its unique architecture. Spend the afternoon exploring this quaint town, which has long inspired artists from Monet to Picasso. Visit the Musée Picasso in Old Antibes and end the day with an enlightening gastronomic experience at the Michelin-starred Le Figuier de St Esprit.
GLAMOROUS POOLS, SPA TREATMENTS, SOFT SAND BEACHES
After a light breakfast on Harle's beautiful bridge deck, spend the morning strolling the charming streets of Antibes.
A visit to the palatial Hôtel du Cap-Eden-Roc is the plan for the day. After being pampered at the Sisley Spa, enjoy a leisurely lunch at the glamorous Eden-Roc Grill & Bar overlooking the water. Book a pool cabana and dive off the pool terrace into the sea.
Return to Harle refreshed and relaxed, and enjoy a cocktail from the sun deck spa pool as you get underway for the short distance to Juan-les-Pins. Take a late afternoon walk along the fine sand beach or the Promenade du Soleil. In June, Juan-les-Pins comes alive for the international jazz festival, which should not be missed if your charter dates coincide.
As the sun begins its descent, be delighted with a gourmet dinner prepared by Harle's professional chef followed by music and laughter under the Mediterranean night sky.
HIKING, MEDITERRANEAN ISLANDS, WINE AND MONKS
Harle will get underway to the elite city of Cannes this morning, with a stop to visit Les Îles de Lérins, a group of islands located just off the coast. Île Sainte-Marguerite is the largest and one of the only two inhabited islands. Home to the infamous Fort Royal, where the Man in the Iron Mask was held captive, this island features beautiful hiking trails offering scenic views at every turn.
After an invigorating hike, take lunch at La Guerite, a beach restaurant offering stunning views alongside its menu of contemporary Mediterranean cuisine with Asian influences. After lunch it's off to the smaller Île Saint-Honorat which, like its neighbor, boasts scenic walking trails as well as wine, liqueurs and honey produced and sold by the Cistercian monks that inhabit the 15th century Lerins Abbey.
If you charter during July or August, time your visit with Cannes' annual international fireworks festival and spend the evening on Harle's sundeck amidst a most spectacular synchronized display. Alternatively, dance the night away at Le Bâoli.
SHOPPING, BEACH FUN, GLAMOROUS CLUBS
Head into the bustling city of Cannes this morning for a bit of shopping at the designer boutiques or to partake of some of the Cannes Film Festival events, which draw thousands of visitors to the glamorous seafront each year.
After a Mediterranean-inspired rosé luncheon back aboard Harle, you'll get underway to St. Tropez, via Pampelonne Beach. Nearly 5km of white sand comprises this exclusive beach, which draws throngs of glamorous sun worshippers to its beautiful and unspoiled setting. Spend the day at Club 55, a well-groomed private beach club in the midst of Pampelonne, and savor a relaxed beachfront luncheon at its casually elegant outdoor restaurant.
Continue the festive relaxation back aboard Harle late in the afternoon, as you get underway the short distance to St. Tropez. Anchored off the iconic harbor, celebrate until the wee hours in Harle's own bridge deck nightclub or tender to shore to be seen at one of St. Tropez's pulsing hot spots.
GLAMOUR, TRUFFLES, CELEBRITY SPOTTING
Enjoy a leisurely morning and refreshing brunch onboard, before heading in to St. Tropez to explore the cobblestone streets and peruse the quaint boutiques and charming markets. Truffle lovers may not want to miss the opportunity to venture inland — about 20 minutes by helicopter or 1 hour by car — for lunch at Chez Bruno in Lorgues where the freshest, most exquisite white and black truffles are center to most menu items.
For the quintessentially glamorous Côte D'Azur experience, spend the late afternoon in one of the famed red chairs at Le Sénéquier in the harbor. Sip a rosé or pastis while nibbling on a Tarte Tropezienne and watch the world go by.
Canapes and cocktails await as you return to Harle in the late afternoon, followed by a stunning gourmet dinner prepared by your personal chef. After dinner, unwind in the main salon on the cozy sofa with your favorite show or movie.
HISTORIC VILLAGE, ICONIC BEACH, FINE DINING
Harle will get underway early this morning, and you'll wake to the views of sparkling water and gorgeous coastline through your large stateroom windows. Sip a cold-pressed juice or cappuccino on the bridge deck aft and enjoy the sights of this historic coastal region.
En route, stop to visit the village of Èze. Perched on a rock 1,400 feet above sea level, Èze is built upon the ruins of a 12th century castle - a testament to centuries of occupation, from Romans and Moors to the House of Savoy. Wander through its labyrinth streets and take in the view over the vast, bougainvillea-wrapped villas that lead down the hillside to the Mediterranean.
Back underway, Harle will anchor off Paloma Beach in St. Jean Cap Ferrat where you can tender in to enjoy a late lunch at the sheltered al fresco beach restaurant, a local favorite since 1948.
Spend your last evening with a leisurely dinner onboard or round the corner to Monaco to dine at Le Vistamar at the Hotel Hermitage overlooking the harbor or the slightly less formal Elsa at the Monte-Carlo Beach Hotel.
FAREWELL BRUNCH, CASINO, SHOPPING
Harle's chef will prepare a special farewell brunch this morning, served in the breathtaking setting of the Monte-Carlo harbor. Tender to shore to spend the morning visiting Monaco's iconic sights, including the Casino, Opera House, the Oceanographic Museum and the Prince's Palace. Fancy some shopping? Monaco does not disappoint, with its Avenue de Monte Carlo offering major fashion labels and the Place du Casino hosting Cartier, Bulgari, Piaget and Van Cleef storefronts.
If your visit coincides with the historic Monaco Grand Prix event, watching the spectacle while moored stern-to will be the order of the day. Alternatively, extend your stay in Monaco to include a performance at Fort Antoine. This early XVIII century fortress is an outdoor amphitheater hosting plays and other live performances.
Back onboard Harle, bid a fond farewell to your crew and toast to Riviera memories made before your transfer to the airport or your next onshore destination.
